Polly sheep


Polly was born in 1997 in Edinburg. It was the first clonic and transgenic cloned mammal.
This sheep was created few months after Dolly. It had a human gen implanted in a enmbryo cell.
It was named "Polly" because it type was Poll Dorset.
It was created with the purpose of use its milk, which had a human protein, as a cure for hemophilia and osteoporosis.

Did this experiment work? Is it possible to cure hemophilia and osteoporosis this way?.

I do not know for sure, but I read that there have been done research on transgenic sheep in which it is said that there are very few possibilities for it to work.
