Biological process

In biology vital functions are those that make all living things. There are three: nutrition, relationships and reproduction.

Function of nutrition
Living things take environmental nutrients and energy they need to live and throw out the middle waste substances they manufacture. Make the role of nutrition is that living things perform the following processes:
-Ingestion: It is the entrance of matter into the living being.

-Metabolism: Set of chemical reactions inside every cell of an organism and which can obtain energy and materials needed to live.

-Excretion: Expulsion to the outside of matter.

Function of relationship
It is the ability of living things to pick up signals from the environment (external and internal) and respond to them, ie makes us realize what is happening around us and act accordingly.

Function of reproduction
It is the ability of living organisms to produce new beings similar in their anatomy and their physiology to their parents.
There are two main types of reproduction: asexual and sexual reproduction:
Asexual reproduction occurs when specialized cells are not involved and there is no genetic exchange, so the offspring are genetically identical to its parent.
Sexual reproduction occurs when specialized cells involved (gametes) of different sex and occurs a mixture of genetic information contained therein.

Fleas bitting dinosaurus

Only insects with very powerful jaws could have fed on the blood of the dinosaurs, but it appears that some succeeded, according to a new study. Scientists in China found animal fossils 165 million years with a morphology similar to modern flea, although its size was approximately ten times higher. "Estos eran insectos mucho más grandes que las pulgas modernas y por el tamaño de su proboscis, el apéndice tubular alargado con el que extraían la sangre, podemos decir que su mordedura habría sido bastante dolorosa" said one of the scientists studying this kind of fleas. He also said "There will be caused a sensation similar to that caused by a hypodermic needle. Luckily existing fleas are much lower." "Probably Jurassic insects whose fossils were found in Mongolia are the ancestors of modern fleas, but more probably belonged to a separate lineage and now extinct" pointed. Bodies were flat, similar to a bug or tick, as well as claws that could climb the rough skin of the dinosaurs and held down while drew their blood.
This picture shows a draw about how could have been the flea.

In half of the twentieth century, Darwin (1809-1882) was criticized and ridicule from society because their revolutionary ideas published in his book "The Origin of Species." Although the 1 st edition (1859) was very popular, the society of the time did not give too much attention. Thanks to this work definitively established the theory of evolution. Darwin's work surpasses all previous publications on the evolution and
The appearance of "The Origin of Species" was a scientific and cultural event, which caused a great scandal. There were many magazines and newspapers that published reviews and parodies of this work. Biologists were divided into two areas: Darwin's supporters and people who were against innovation. The English church was a great enemy of Darwin. The inclusion of man in his theory did Darwin come into conflict with conservative ideas and religion. Natural selection denied God, while the common image of the species was contradictory to the biblical account. At the time, Darwin's scientific arguments were of little weight was not until years later mucos when he began to recognize the importance of their discovery.
Darwin's work is twofold. On the one hand, the collection of a large number of paleontological and biological data from which it introduces the idea of evolution. On the other hand, the formulation of the theory of natural selection to explain the evolutionary process. The idea of evolution was accepted by biologists almost immediately, but the theory of natural selection was discussed from the beginning.
Thanks to Darwin, "The Origin of Species" caused a great revolution in biology.

AUTISM

Autism is a disorder of neural development characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior it affects information processing in the brain. The diagnostic criteria require that symptoms become apparent before a child is three years old.

Parents usually notice signs in the first two years of their child's life. The signs usually develop gradually, but some autistic children first develop more normally and then regress. Although there is no known cure, there have been reported cases of children who recovered.

The effects, in general,  they are the incapacity of the social interaction, the isolation and the stereotypes(movements outcontrol of any extremity, the most generally are the hands).

We estimated that the autismo affect to 4 every 10.000 people, depending of the criterion of the diagnosis using. Believes that the incidence raise, but isn’t downright if is for a real raise of the causes or Only a high Lumber of diagnostics. The autismo affect four rise more to the men than to the woman.
